Cherry Limeade

Cherry Limeade

Move over lemonade, there’s a wonderful new spring/summer beverage in town. This cherry limeade is super refreshing and delicious, with a sweet, tart, and slightly topical flavor that brings nuance and sophistication to each cooling glass.

This recipe calls for a whole lot of freshly juiced limes, but the extra few minutes involved is totally worth it—store bought lime juice just doesn’t have the same flavor! Serve this cherry limeade for a yummy splash of summer fun at your next pool party, picnic, or barbeque. We think you’ll be glad you decided to expand your citrus horizons.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz frozen cherries, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice (from about 10 medium limes)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1 Tbsp Sari Foods Organic Vitamin C Powder
  • A few splashes of sparkling water (optional—if you prefer a few bubbles)

Directions:

  1. Puree cherries and lime juice until the cherry fragments are very fine.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring the cherry-lime mixture, 1 cup of water, and honey to a low boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher and allow to cool completely in the refrigerator.
  4. Stir in the vitamin C powder and the remaining 3 cups of water, and serve over ice.

Peace, love, and refreshing cherry goodness from the Sari Foods family.
