What is Gelatinized Maca Powder?

Our Organic Gelatinized Maca Powder (15oz) is an "adaptogen," which refers to substances that help the body naturally adapt to stress. It also delivers a natural array of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, plant sterols, and four unique alkaloids (Macaina 1, 2, 3, and 4) that support well-being and vitality. Additionally, our maca powder is gelatinized, meaning the starch has been removed, resulting in a more concentrated, nutrient-dense, easily digestible, and bioavailable form than raw maca.

Is your maca raw or is it a gelatinized maca powder?

Sari Foods Organic Maca is gelatinized. Gelatinized maca is a form of maca powder that involves removing the starch of the maca resulting in a more concentrated maca form that is also more easy to digest and process in the body. Unlike other commercial preparations, our maca is gelatinized using a proprietary low-temperature process. Why choose whole food based and naturally occurring organic maca? Whole foods have a complex nutritional makeup rich in beneficial micro and macronutrients that our bodies can more readily recognize and extract.

Is your maca organic certified?

Sari Foods Gelatinized Maca is USDA Organic Certified. The best way to ensure you are obtaining only the purest maca powder is to always make sure you purchase certified organic, so you know it has been grown to strict standards and cultivated without controversial fertilizers. Also, make sure your maca comes from a pure soil source and that it undergoes a proper drying process. Avoid maca from outside of its native South America that is grown using poor quality or un-tested soil, which could expose you to toxins. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and anything added to the end product should also be avoided. At Sari Foods we adhere to these principles ourselves and are committed to delivering pure superfoods, ethically grown and free from man-made synthetics, toxins, or contaminants.

All our products, including our organic maca, are handled in a GMP facility. Our products are not manufactured with gluten, wheat, yeast, soy, milk, nuts, eggs, or shellfish. They are packaged in a facility that may handle these ingredients.
