The perfect winter warmer.
This oatmeal is the ideal breakfast for a frosty winters morning, with cinnamon, apple and maple syrup caramelized pecan's, it delivers the perfect soul food combination.

1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup buckwheat flakes
2 cups water (or dairy free milk)
1 tbsp ground wheatbran
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp apple sauce
1 fresh grated apple
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp pink himalayan salt
Place the oats, wheat bran, buckwheat flakes, cinnamon and water (or milk) in a pan with the salt and put on a medium heat. Bring to a steady simmer for around 5 minutes whilst stirring continuously.
Meanwhile, place your pecans and maple syrup in a shallow pan over a medium low heat so that the maple syrup bubbles slowly and the nuts caramelize - be sure to watch them carefully so they don't burn. Once the maple syrup has reduced, remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
Add the apple sauce and grated apple to the Oatmeal and cook for a further minute or two. Remove from the heat and stir through Sari Foods Natural Vitamin C Powder from Organic Acerola Cherries.
