Superfood Banana Bread

Our scrumptious banana bread recipe takes this classic comfort food to the next level by eliminating refined sugar, white carbs, and unhealthy fats—without sacrificing the flavor and texture you love. The perfect complement to a hearty meal on a chilly fall evening, this bread works equally well as a guilt-free dessert or breakfast on the go. Get ready to go bananas!  


  • 5 medium bananas
  • ½ cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 cup gluten-free oats
  • 1 cup buckwheat flour
  • ¾ cup ground almonds
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Sari Foods Organic Spirulina
  • ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and line a loaf pan. 
  2. Mix chia seeds with 6 tablespoons of water and let the mixture sit for a few minutes to gel. 
  3. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. 
  4. In a separate bowl, mash or blend bananas with spirulina and maple syrup.
  5. Stir banana mixture into the dry mix.
  6. Mix in non-dairy milk, chia seeds, and chocolate chips. 
  7. Scoop batter into the loaf pan and flatten.
  8. Bake 25-30 minutes.
  9. Allow bread to cool completely before slicing.
