Rainbow Superfood Smoothie

What healthier (and more delicious!) way could there be to celebrate Pride Month than this joyful, superfood smoothie?
Each beautiful layer of this frosty beverage is made with naturally flavorful, nutritious ingredients that together form a festive treat for all your senses.
Unlike some other rainbow smoothies out there, this recipe doesn’t rely on synthetic food dyes for its colorful presentation. Instead, our powerful superfoods act as natural food colorings to create these magical layers.
This recipe is easy to make, but since you’ll be layering each color, it’s important to make sure that each layer has a thick enough consistency to support the one above it. If you find a layer is too watery, simply pour it into a container and place in the freezer until it thickens. This helps keep the layers defined for a smoothie that’s sure to impress.
Our recipe makes enough for two smoothie jars, so there’s plenty to share with a friend!
Ingredients:
Purple Layer
- ½ cup coconut water
- ½ cup mixed frozen berries
- 3 Tbsp chia seeds
- 1 heaping tsp Sari Foods Organic Acai Powder
Orange Layer
- ½ cup frozen mango chunks
- Juice from 1 organic orange
- 1 tsp Sari Foods Natural Vitamin C Powder from Organic Acerola Cherries
Green Layer
- Handful organic spinach
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 tsp Sari Foods Spirulina Powder
- 1 tsp Sari Foods Organic Wheatgrass Powder
- ½ cup coconut water
Topping
- ½ passion fruit
- 1 large strawberry to garnish (optional)
Directions:
For each layer/color:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
2. Transfer mixture to a container or bowl, rinse the blender, and repeat steps 1 & 2 until each layer is blended.
3. Carefully layer each color layer in glasses or jars, and top with passionfruit and a strawberry (or your own favorite toppings).
