These Cheezy Kale Chips taste pretty sinful with all their crispy, crunchy goodness! And yet despite their sinfully SUPER taste, they are full of all kinds of goodness and oh-so easy to make.
These chips are totally portable, making them a great healthful snack to enjoy with movie night or on your daily commute. The topping options are endless too - we like ours with a sprinkle of nutritional yeast and sesame seeds but you can try spicing them up with a little turmeric and chilli flakes or some people prefer a sweeter option with a drizzle of maple syrup and brown sugar. Yummy!
You will need:
- Bunch of kale
- 2 tbsps. olive oil
- 1 heaping tbsp. Sari Foods Non-fortified Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
- A little sea salt
- Line a baking tray with baking parchment and preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In a bowl, add the kale and drizzle over the olive oil. Toss until well combined and the kale is lightly coated in the oil. Spread the kale in a single layer on the baking tray.
- Combine the nutritional yeast and sesame seeds in a small bowl and sprinkle over the kale. Season with sea salt and cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until crisp and just starting to golden. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the kale pieces.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes and enjoy straight away. Alternatively, place in an air tight container and store for up to 2 days.
To ensure a crunchy kale chip, ensure the pieces are well spread out on the tray and are in a single layer.
