Sari Foods Organic Spirulina is a miracle microalgae that helps you stay focussed, nourished and energized as well as being 65% protein and comprised of an array of vitamins and minerals. Both almond milk and buckwheat flour are also sources of plant based protein so these pancakes should keep you feeling full and satisfied - a great post workout breakfast, snack or even a tasty desert!
Ingredients: Serves 2.
1/2 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tbsp Sari Foods Organic Spirulina
1 tsp ground cardamom
zest of 1 lemon
coconut oil to cook
honey to drizzle
Combine your buckwheat flour, almond milk, banana, Sari Foods Organic Spirulina, lemon zest and ground cardamon in a food blender. Blend for a few minutes until well combined, thick and creamy!
Heat a tsp of coconut oil in a pan and once melted add a ladle of the pancake mix. When little bubbles start to appear in the top of your pancake you're ready to flip. Once you've turned the pancake, allow another 2-3 minutes cooking time on the other side. If you're using a large pan you can cook several at a time, otherwise do them one at a time and keep them warm in the oven. The mix should make around 6 pancakes.
To serve, stack and drizzle with honey! Yay!
